With the U.S. Treasury in the process of issuing the second round of stimulus payments, the Oregon Department of Human Services is urging residents not to throw out their Earned Income Payment debit card.
A release from ODHS said people who haven’t received a direct deposit should look for either a check from the IRS or the card, to be sent in the mail. The release said people will not necessarily be paid the same way they received their first stimulus payment.
The card will have a return address of Money Network Cardholder Services in Omaha, Nebraska.
Most individuals will receive $600, while married couples will get $1,200 if they file a joint return. $600 is added for each qualifying child.
The release said eligible individuals who do not receive their payment, or did not receive their first stimulus payment can claim it when they file their 2020 tax return this year. People who do not normally file tax returns should also file a 2020 return if they do not receive the stimulus payment.
