Other Payment Rejections and Other Cost Recoveries
OSC rejected tax refunds and credits valued at more than $2.7 million. The Comptroller’s auditors also recovered nearly $86,000 from vendors owing debts to the state and held payments pending resolution of disputes between subcontractors and prime contractors.
Cumulatively through September for calendar year 2021, the Comptroller’s office has approved 12,577 contracts valued at $161.8 billion and has approved nearly 168.6 million payments worth almost $163.3 billion, including more than 152.5 million unemployment insurance payments valued at more than $43.3 billion. The office has rejected 1,179 contracts and related transactions valued at $5.2 billion and more than 213,900 payments valued at nearly $251.2 million primarily due to errors, improprieties or lack of documentation.
