System upgrade will enhance data security and improve services, requires all customers to re-register
Water, wastewater, and reclaimed water customers of Hillsborough County Water Resources will receive information by postcard and on their bills throughout April about changes coming to the County's online utility bill payment system.
On April 28, 2022, Water Resources will upgrade the online utility bill payment system to enhance data security and improve services. This change will require all customers to re-register their accounts for online and phone payments.
Customers who have automatic bill payments set up through the County will have those continue uninterrupted, but customers will have to re-register to access the billing system to make any changes. All customers who register in the new system will also be defaulted to more sustainable paperless billing and receive their monthly billing statements by email, with an option to opt-in to paper bills.
Information needed to re-register:
- The 10-digit Water Resources utility account number
- The last four digits of the Social Security number or federal ID number on file for the utility account
- A valid email address and phone number to complete the required multifactor authentication process
Customer contact information will also be used to distribute text and email emergency alerts.
Old system logins will no longer work as of April 28, 2022. Customers attempting to access the old system on or after April 28 will automatically be redirected to the new bill payment page to re-register.

The online billing system gives customers access to make a payment online, view up to 13 months of bills, and edit account settings for services such as auto-pay, email notifications, and paperless billing.
Register after April 28 to access these valuable account tools and start receiving emergency text or email alerts about your service.
