Houston Astros right fielder Josh Reddick has listed his mansion in Houston for $2.5 million.
Located on the west side of the sprawling metropolis, the baller residence is part of the Hunters Creek neighborhood. The gated home on a private circle was originally listed for $2.7 million in September 2019. In January it was reduced to its current asking price.
Built in 2007, the 6,362-square-foot home has four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Reddick purchased the home in 2017 for an undisclosed amount. At the time it was listed for $2.6 million.
Designed by local architect Robert Dame and custom-built by local luxury home builders The Black Stone Builders, the home "boasts only the finest finishes."
The well-outfitted chef's kitchen includes a large island, butler’s pantry, and breakfast room. There's also a formal dining room and an entertainment/game room.
A lavish master suite features a coffered ceiling, private balcony, dry bar, glass shower, and dual walk-in closets.
A bonus room is located just off the master suite and comes complete with a full bath. Luxe touches throughout the home include high ceilings with exposed beams, wood paneling, and dramatic dual staircases.
The laundry rooms are conveniently located on both the main and second levels, and there's an elevator. Three of the bedrooms have en suite baths. The exterior entrance also provides access to a guest suite.
The outdoor spaces include lush gardens and fountains, and oak trees dot the property. There's a large outdoor kitchen and living room that are perfect for hosting parties.
The home is located close to the Houston Country Club and just 10 miles west of Minute Maid Park, the home of the Astros.
Reddick and his wife, Georgette, purchased a new 11,087-square-foot estate on 27.7 acres in Crosby, TX, last May.
Reddick, 33, broke into the big leagues with the Boston Red Sox in 2009 and played for the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Dodgers before landing with the Astros in 2017. Known for his bat and his arm, he became a crucial member of the team's World Series championship run in 2017.
Kirsten Seglem with Compass RE Texas has the listing.
