Old Navy is selling a pack of 5 face coverings for just $12.50 on its website. The packs are available in adult size, as well as a size for children.
The masks, which are 100 percent cotton and machine washable, come in a variety of colors and patterns. The material is actually excess fabric from some of Old Navy’s most popular apparel, according to the retailer’s website. You cannot choose specific patterns, however. It’s a surprise pack and the fabric will vary. Note there’s a limit of three packs per customer.
The face coverings, to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, are designed per Centers for Disease Control recommendations for non-medical-grade masks. They have three “soft and breathable” cotton layers and elastic, over the-ear straps.
The adult masks are 7.5 inches long and 3.5 inches tall. The children’s size is 5-3/4 inches by 3-1/8.
Not surprisingly, the deal -- which comes out to $2.50 per mask -- has been popular and is on back order with a shipping date around June 7.
Old Navy has donated 50,000 of these face masks to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Mask use is expected for months as we await a vaccine for the coronavirus. The CDC recommends everyone wear a face mask when out in public.
