The “Windy City Rehab” star Alison Victoria is now selling her Chicago home for $2,295,000, People magazine reported.
Victoria is beset by legal troubles associated with her popular home-flipping show on HGTV.
Clients who bought a house that she rehabbed on the show have filed a lawsuit against her and her co-host, Donovan Eckhardt, after experiencing what they described as problems with the home.
The couple had tried to freeze Victoria’s assets, to prevent her from selling properties that she owns. Victoria’s lawyer told People that he opposed the move, and that a Chicago court has sided with Victoria, allowing her to sell this updated abode.
Fans of Victoria’s work will swoon over the designer’s Parisian-inspired brownstone in the city’s trendy Bucktown neighborhood.
The house was built in 2018, and its five-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom floor plan measures 3,125 square feet. Original details that make a nice contrast with the modern construction include high, coffered ceilings, herringbone white-oak floors, and traditional millwork.
In the living room, a mantel from Paris adds an antique touch. The space opens to a dining room with a striking chandelier. The chef’s kitchen features custom cabinetry, a built-in banquette, high-end appliances, a marble waterfall-edge island, and brass hood.
An adjoining family room features an eye-catching brass fireplace. Viewers of “Windy City Rehab” know that Victoria likes to incorporate brass elements in her remodels.
The master suite takes up half of the upper floor and features an oversized walk-in closet, a dual-vanity marble bath, a soaking tub, and full-slab Calcutta marble steam shower.
On the lower level, find a wine room, gym, and home theater, and wet bar.
The home also features an outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and built-in grill, a deck over the garage, and a roof deck with Chicago skyline views.
Other high-end details include home automation, custom shades, heated sidewalk, and a two-car garage. The listing details note that the location is close to shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks.
The designer purchased the property in 2016 for $640,000.
An aging fixer-upper that Victoria revamped — featured on Season 2 of “Windy City Rehab” — is also on the market. That completely transformed abode is available for $1.6 million.
Victoria’s personal residence is being repped by Ryan Preuett of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.
