A group of Youngsville kids have worked all week to make homemade slime so they could sell it today.
But the children weren't working for pocket money or a snowball fund; they want to donate their proceeds to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, to help kids who have cancer.
They worked all week, perfecting recipes and packaging and pricing their slime, said parent Tyler Melancon.
"When I mentioned to them how cool this was learning valuable life skills and that they get to actually split the money that they worked hard for they said “We aren’t going to be doing this to keep the money, we are doing this for kids in need, we are doing this for kids cancer research to help kids in need”, my heart melted," Melancon said. "So selfless and beautiful! They decided that all the proceeds are going to be donated to St. Jude kids cancer research."
The kids worked all day Saturday and raised $69 selling their slime. They're out there again today, hoping to sell more.
