A Rancho Mirage golf estate that California gubernatorial recall candidate Anthony Trimino and wife Jennifer bought two months ago is on the market, and it’s not the only property he’s selling.

The couple recently sold another Rancho Mirage home and their longtime Ladera Ranch mansion is currently under contract. Attempts to reach Trimino for comment on the sale of his Southern California properties were unsuccessful.

Of the three properties, the one still up for grabs is the 8,281-square-foot desert spread with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms for $3.59 million.

That’s a 31% increase from the $2.475 million the Triminos paid for it in May, property records show.

Completed in 1989, it sits on a 1.5-acre lot on the 7th fairway of the Tamarisk Country Club, with a swimming pool and spa. There are no homeowner association dues.

Interiors include a great room with a coffered ceiling, fireplace and wet bar. The gourmet kitchen boasts built-ins. Contained by the large master retreat is a living area and glass and mirrored bathroom, which boasts long double vanities and a soaking tub.

A dining loggia with a barbecue kitchen, a three-car garage and a golf cart garage ad to the offerings.

Ryan Bragg of Compass holds the listing and represented the Trimino family on selling another of their desert properties in March.

Property records show the remodeled 1967 modern on a two-third-acre lot in Rancho Mirage’s Thunderbird Heights enclave fetched $3.35 million, about 44% more than the nearly $1.9 million paid in April 2019.

Trimino’s primary residence, a three-story Ladera Ranch estate, was listed in April for just under $5 million. By June, it had a prospective buyer.

Architect Eric Trabert designed the Trimino family’s “Architectural Digest estate,” also described in the listing as “nothing short of extraordinary.” Within 9,246 square feet, the mansion — built in 2010 — has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and two gyms.

Quality finishes include reclaimed flooring and hand-carved wooden doors.

There’s a temperature-controlled wine room. A gourmet kitchen “that would inspire even the most discerning Micheliin Star chef,” as the listing reads, boasts top-of-the-line appliances and hidden refrigerated drawers.

Other highlights include an arcade room, poker room with cigar filtration, a home theater, with a speakeasy, which takes its inspiration from the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

“It’s a very special home they created,” said Chris Marple of VIP Realty Group, who co-listed the home with lead agent Josh Zollinger of HOMZ Real Estate. “They put a lot of heart and meaning and thought behind all of it, and it really shows.”

Trimino, 46, is the founder and CEO of the Irvine-based advertising agency Traffik, which plans to set up a shop in New York, according to the company’s website. He is one of a growing list of GOP entrants hoping to oust Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in the September 14 recall election.

Candidates include reality TV star and former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” fame and businessman John Cox, who ran and lost to Newsom in 2018 in a landslide election.

Newsom began his term in 2019.

According to Ballotpedia, recall proponents claim the governor has mishandled the pandemic response, failed to adequately address the state’s homelessness rate and supported sanctuary city policies and water rationing.

Since 1913, the state has seen 55 recall attempts of a governor. The effort to replace Newsom is only the second attempt of its kind that has qualified for the ballot.

In 2003, voters recalled Democratic Gov. Gray Davis and replaced him with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Republican governor went on to serve as the governor of California from 2003 to 2011.
