Allegiant Stadium’s concessions payment system went down during WWE’s SummerSlam Saturday and apparently the payment processing company used by the Raiders’ stadium was having problems at other sports venues around the country.

Fans at SummerSlam tonight reported on social media that concessions were down in the cashless stadium in Las Vegas. Some fans said free water and sodas were being handed out in some cases.

Petco Park, the San Diego Padres’ baseball park, experienced similar problems.

After suffering from parking and traffic woes for the first few events in July and August, now Allegiant Stadium coped with the chaotic problem of its concessions payment system going down in the cash-free venue Saturday.

There were also reports of overflowing toilets within the first hour of the gates opening as about 40,000 people attended. The scene quickly became chaotic with very few authoritative answers.

LVSportsBiz.com also noticed the WiFi went down at about 5:30 PM, along with credit card machines.

Also, many fans who walked a mile or so in the 100-degree heat were patient at first. As the minutes turned into hours, the crowd became vocal with concession stand attendants. Some concessionaires passed out free hot food and beverages to quell the angry fans.

One fan took to Twitter to say people were in the bathroom trying to fix toilets with souvenir cups.
