SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. Over the last two years, Valley Bicycle has received overwhelming support from the community.

This family grown business has decided to expand into selling skateboards.

After five weeks of skating business, staff has had to place seven orders.

This shop offers bicycle and skateboard repairs, purchases and education to students.

This company can acquire the parts through their suppliers at a competitive rate and offers sandblasting with motor work as well.

With education, staff host repairs clinics for students to go over their bike by tighten a bolt, making sure the chains are stable and making sure the tires are pressured properly.

As summer approaches with great weather, it’s more important than ever to go outside and exercise.

“We really believe in getting the kids out especially now that the weather is beautiful out again,” said Dan Quijas, Manager. “I would rather have them out riding and doing it safely than always being at home on electronic devices. I believe that it is a large part of childhood development to have memories with your friends. Get out there and do stuff. That’s what builds character.”

There is a giveaway for students that includes a package deal.

This organization always accepts donations for bikes.

Staff uses the donation to turn the bike around, repair and replace the needed pieces and put the bikes right back up for sale.

The company also offers pick-up and delivery services.

The shop is open from 11:00am to 4:00pm and by appointments.

Staff would like to thank Tony Bergman from Potter’s Wheel for all of his help, Kyle King and his students from Scottsbluff Reconnect, Dennis Grubbs from DG Repair in Torrington for making the company possible, Angela Scanlan from Cappuccino and Company for helping with operations and working out the bugs, Tone and Rich from Carmen’s Burritos for supplying food and Bill Grubbs from Pineapple Express for his help as well.

The business can be found at 213 W 26th Street in Scottsbluff.
