The first installment of the Kane County real estate tax bill is due Tuesday, June 1, the treasurer’s office said.
Payments can be made in a variety off ways, the easiest of which is to pay online at KaneCountyTreasurer.org, which is free if done via e-check, a news release said. Convenience charges are applied when using a credit or debit card.
Payments can also be made via mail by mailing them to County of Kane-State of Illinois, Michael J. Kilbourne, MBA Kane County Treasurer, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Building A, Geneva, IL 60134; via payment box located behind the Kane County Government Center in Geneva, which is available around the clock; in person at the Kane County Government Center during business hours; or at several Kane County banks.

New Kane health department app ready for downloading
Kane County Health Department has launched a smartphone app to help connect with residents and provide information quickly, officials said.
The free mobile app can offer access to such things as COVID-19 testing sites, vaccine clinics and resources, wellness checks, resource maps, contact information, news, instant push notifications, health protection, social media, video resources and mental health help, a news release said.
It can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play. Search “Kane County Health IL” to locate it.
Funding was provided by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and it was developed by ThePublicHealthApp.com, the release said.
