Let's put this to bed, once and for all: Viewers recently questioned the legitimacy of the credentials of the Selling Sunset cast after Chrissy Teigen tweeted claims that she'd never encountered any of the real estate agents in the LA market before. Cast members fired back and one of the owners of the Oppenheim Group, Jason Oppenheim, submitted a condemning statement to Reality Blurb, alongside proof of all of his agents' valid real estate licenses.
"Any insinuation that the agents on our show are not experienced, successful, or licensed, evidences a complete disregard for the facts. Even a superficial investigation would identify previous team photos, hundreds of millions in transacted sales, and more than 50 years of combined licensed real estate experience from these agents," he told Reality Blurb.
So, yes, you have to have a valid real estate license to be on the show.
