Where do the hunky Hemsworth brothers head when they need to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles?
Up the coast to a gorgeous, shared modern home in the hills of Malibu with calming views of the Pacific Ocean. At least, that’s where brothers Luke, Liam, and Chris used to hang — they’ve now put their pristine coastal home on the market for $4.9 million.
It was described by a local rep as a “quiet family-owned house behind two gates where they could peacefully enjoy Malibu. It’s easy to see why the brothers enjoyed it.”
The open floor plan and high ceilings give the home plenty of room to breathe. Polished concrete flooring throughout the living spaces is elegant, yet forgiving of spills and mishaps. An abundance of windows and folding glass doors allow spectacular views of the canyon and ocean.
It’s also an extremely family-friendly home, with special accommodations for kids in the four-bedroom, four-bathroom getaway.
There’s an arcade game still perched in one of the rooms that the adult kids could also enjoy.
Luke has four children, Chris has three, and Liam doesn’t have any yet, but we’d bet he’s a favorite uncle.
And what family wouldn’t enjoy meals cooked in a dream kitchen with restaurant-grade Viking, Wolfe, and Sub-Zero appliances as well as quartz countertops? To pair with a well-prepared meal, there’s a 750-bottle refrigerated wine room.
After dinner, the clan can sit down together and watch a movie in the state-of-the-art home theater.
When it’s time to retire, there’s a luxurious master suite with a spa tub, steam shower, Calacatta gold marble finishes, dual walk-in closets, and towering walls, perfect for hanging artwork (or movie posters).
Outdoors, there’s a spacious dining deck with ocean views. Below the deck, you’ll find an outdoor fireplace, gardens, mature landscaping, and plenty of yard space for family frolicking.
All three of the Australian Hemsworth brothers may be too busy to relax much these days. Liam, the youngest, possibly best known for franchises like “The Hunger Games,” “The Expendables,” and his long relationship with Miley Cyrus, can currently be seen in “Arkansas,” which was released in May on Premium VOD.
Luke, the eldest, has been raising eyebrows in the Emmy-winning “Westworld,” and has also starred in TV and movies. The latest two, “Death of Me” and “The 34th Battalion,” are in postproduction.
In addition to starring as Marvel’s Thor, Chris, the middle brother, has received acclaim for his lead roles in films such as “Rush,” “12 Strong,” “The Huntsman: Winter’s War,” and the Netflix hit “Extraction.”
